  • Overview

    The Program Coordinator will maintain and monitor behavior management plan at the site while also acting as a liaison for the Director of Child Welfare, Shift Leaders and Assistant Counselors.  He/she will oversee and coordinate all medical/dental care for clients in conjunction with the Registered Nurse.  The Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing crisis interventions and incident reporting procedures.  He/she will oversee and monitor all program logs and documentation.  This individual will participate in the interviewing of all prospective applicants for employment and insuring the staffing roster has an adequate number of funded positions to meet the staffing requirements for therapeutic group services. He/she is responsible for all performance evaluations, counseling and disciplinary actions of staff. He/she is responsible for completing the employee schedule on a weekly basis and processing timesheets for payroll every other week.  The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all outings and activities for clients when appropriate.

    • Demonstrates knowledge of Systemic Approach For Exploited and Traumatized Youth (SAFETY).
    • Demonstrates knowledge of crisis intervention, ability to respond to special clinical circumstances and incident reporting.
    • Demonstrates sufficient knowledge and experience administering effective and ongoing operations of the therapeutic group/shelter services.
    • Demonstrates responsibility for the overall operation for therapeutic group/shelter care services.
    • Demonstrates skill in providing supervision to direct care staff.
    • Ability to provide direct therapeutic group/shelter care services.
    • Maintains communication with staff and observes staff to monitor program strengths and weaknesses.
    • Works cordially with others in a team setting.
    • Assumes a professional, helpful style in all encounters with visitors, vendors and other professionals and represents the company in a positive manner 100% of the time.
    • Ability to comply with Equal Employment standards (EEO) policy and standards.
    • Follows Federal and State laws, Medicaid Guidelines, company protocol and reports abuse of clients’ rights, suspected child abuse and other crisis situations immediately to Executive Director or designe


    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Special Education or related field with at least 4 years’ experience working with at-risk youth.  Master’s degree preferred.  Must have knowledge of the principles and practices of the discipline.
